A Day at the Races

February 14, 2008

Through the years I’ve handicapped all types of horses at all types of race tracks. My friends and I would show up at the track, buy the daily programs(s) find a nice spot near the finish line, order a few drinks and start the handicapping. Unfortunately, it was ten minutes to post time and my friends would hover around me and wait for my picks since they were not well versed with analyzing the race data in the program. Within minutes of post time I would say OK, let’s go with the 3 horse and key him over the favorite with the 7 horse! Obviously, nobody understood what I just said so I needed to translate it…slowly. Then I would go to the ticket window and play it…four times! Once for each of us!

As you can see I had a tough time concentrating, and the fifteen minutes between races was not enough time to properly handicap a horse race and translate my findings and explain the whys and hows to my curious friends. So I decided to put my racing systems and methods in writing and give them out to my friends and tell them to read it, and stick to the systems when we visit the race track. I made these systems simple and easy to apply, one for each type of race i.e. maiden, claiming, allowance, etc. This turned out to be a nice relief at the race track and it also put us all in “sync” with our picks in each race. I had researched these systems for years and personally live by them when handicapping horses. The best part about my systems is that they actually work. They bring in winners, usually long shots, and I had calculated a win percentage for each system type.

This horse racing book provides a simple tactical approach for winning at any race track. Imagine a book written in simple to understand racing terminology that gives you top win percentage horse racing systems! I’ve been handicapping thoroughbred race horses for over 25 years and continue to go to the racetrack with my good friends…as long as they bring their copy! When I developed these systems it changed my whole way of approaching and handicapping a horse race. Each system takes only minutes to apply. There’s no “study long, study wrong” approach when handicapping a race using my racing angles. There is no software, no subscriptions, and no gimmicks. Some simple mathematics here and there but basically down to earth horse racing angles that work! If your a horse player who is tired of spending hours upon hours handicapping horse races. Or simply “over-thinking” or “over-analyzing” each race with all of the statistics in the racing program then I recommend going the race track with your friends and creating winning ideas for each of you!
